I began selling the Jewish style fedoras part time in an upstairs office above a kosher pizza shop in the La Brea Beverly area. It was obvious that the Orthodox Jewish community was growing and there was no one in Los Angeles selling the style of hat they use. They were forced to buy it in New York. The largest Yeshiva in the western United States makes it a requirement for all boys once they reach the age of 13. It was a built in market that I saw and took advantage of. Soon, I had other people coming in looking for hats, all races, ethnicity, nationalities and even the movie studios were finding me. The business grew and has now become the most important hat store in the city,
