Karabel Dancewear is well known by costumers doing wardrobe for "Artists", movies, TV series and talk shows. We also stock various color requirements for dance studios and dance programs in performing arts, public and private schools. The staff brings a variety of knowledge from various backgrounds and training in different genres of dance to better assist customers. Dance professionals send their students in with confidence they will be fitted properly. Group shoe fittings and tours can be arranged! Karabel supplies over 200 local dance studios, schools and special effects studios in Burbank and neighboring cities.

History

Established in 1989.

The owner, Lori, has been in business since 1971 when her mom bought the business from the original owner Ella Karabel in Los Angeles. She studied Jazz, tap and ballet with numerous teachers and continues to go to shows to support the dance community. The Burbank store has been serving all types of dancers from the beginning to the professional for 27 years!

Lori has studied Jazz for decades and frequently goes to professional ballet performances, musicals, dance conventions, concerts and local studio recitals. She is on a first name basis with hundreds of regular customers and watched many of her customers grow up. Lori personally hires and trains staff members and keeps a record of the local studio requirements to better serve the clientele.
